About Margaret Roche
Margaret Roche attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy and also received her Certified Public Accountant designation in 1984 and DePaul University where she earned a Master of Science in Taxation in 1990. Ms. Roche spent over 30 years in various corporate financial management positions at multiple companies including Chicago Tribune, WGN Radio and Chicago Cubs. Unfortunately, her tenure at the Cubs was in the 1990’s so sadly she did not receive a World Series Ring in 2016. Margaret enjoys creating models and analytics to form data driven decisions. She facilitated countless seminars to improve entire organization’s financial acumen. Most recently, Ms. Roche consulted at Media and Healthcare organizations in the Chicagoland area.
After becoming an empty nester where volunteer opportunities to tutor and help in the school were reduced, she realized she missed the interaction with school age children and began observing classes of the Adventures with Mr. Math. Margaret was excited to join this innovative program that could help her share her passion for anything dealing with math. Ms. Roche currently resides in Park Ridge, Illinois with her husband, son and two daughters, All the children are currently enrolled at the University of Illinois at UC using their strong foundation in math fostered by their mama studying Supply Chain, Civil Engineering and Material Science Engineering. When not thinking about numbers, Margaret is an avid reader (loves her 2 book clubs), swims, bikes, gardens and loves to travel anywhere. She has been to all 50 states and many countries in Europe and Asia. She can’t wait to start traveling again to expand her perspective and of course enjoy all the wonderful food.
