In February, our teams in Grades 2 through 5 participated in the penultimate round of the Continental Math League (CML) math contest. CML has recently published the current standings for all teams in the country:
- Grade 2. Our team is 1st place in Illinois and in Midwest Region, 7th place nationally.
- Grade 3. Our team is 1st place in Illinois, 2nd place in Midwest Region, 14th place nationally.
- Grade 4. Our team is 2nd place in Illinois and in Midwest Region, 12th place nationally.
- Grade 5. Our team is 2nd place in Illinois and in Midwest Region, 12th place nationally.
- Individual Standings. Three students have perfect scores in all meets and can earn a National Champion medal. Five more students are among a handful with only one mistake.
We are very proud of our students and their accomplishments! It just goes a long way to prove that when kids have fun learning math, they become really good at it!
