CML Summary 2022-23

What a great year for our teams on the CML competition:

  • Five out of 14 of our teams are National Champions.
  • Eight teams are Midwest Region Champions.
  • Out of the total of about 10,000 participants, there were 104 perfect scores (about Top 1% of students). Among those, 21 students (or 25%) are from our program!
  • Note that our Grade 4 and 5 teams competed in the more difficult Pythagorean division of the two offered.

Here are results by grade:

  • CML 2: Our teams finished 3rd, 5th and 6th nationally out of 118 teams. One of the teams is Midwest Region Champion. Three of our students are among 24 nationally with perfect scores.
  • CML 3: Two of our three teams finished among seven National Champions with perfect scores; the third team finished 8th (3 points behind) out of 212 teams. Five of our students are among 35 nationally with perfect scores.
  • CML 4: Three of our five teams finished among seven National Champions with perfect scores; the other teams finished 8th (1 point behind) and 12th (3 points behind) out of 97 teams. Eleven of our students are among 29 nationally with perfect scores.
  • CML 5: Two of our teams finished 5th nationally and Midwest Region Champions; the third team finished 10th out of 96 teams. Two of our students are among 16 nationally with perfect scores.
