Four students earn individual prizes; teams win awards in every grade in Latin Contest!
On January 27, Latin School of Chicago held its 19th annual math contest. This popular competition brings together the best students in grades 5 through 8 from many public and private schools. Each school team is made of three or four students. The students complete in an individual round and then each team together competes in the team round. The individual and team round scores are combined to make the overall team score. Prizes are awarded to the top teams in each grade level.
A number of our current and past students participated in the Latin math contest on their respective school teams with great success. Teams for which our students competed finished in top 3 in each grade! Individually, Nate M won the 5th grade competition, Hannah D won the 6th grade competition, Sophia L finished second in the 8th grade, and Rachelle Q finished third in the 5th grade.
As always, we are extremely proud of our students, their accomplishments, and the success they bring to their schools! Congratulations!!!
