Seven students earn perfect scores; 10 students get 4 out of 5 in the second MOEMS-M meet!
In December, our teams competed in the second meet of the MOEMS Division M contest. As a reminder, this year we fielded two teams, one made of 7th and 8th graders in Level 5 and another made of 5th and 6th graders in Level 4. The teams have 11 and 12 students respectively and so each student has an opportunity to contribute to the team score.
Level 4 team scored 34 points, while Level 5 team earned 44 points – the highest ever MOEMS-M score in the history of our program! The teams now have a total of 73 and 81 points respectively.
Overall, students on our team averaged 3.7, which is 1.5 points above the national average! Here are the averages by grade on our team compared with the national averages (the difference is shown in parenthesis):
- Grade 5: 3.3 vs 2.5 (+0.8)
- Grade 6: 3.6 vs 1.8 (+1.8)
- Grade 7: 4.3 vs 2.1 (+2.2)
- Grade 8: 3.9 vs 2.5 (+1.4)
Congratulations to Amal A, Arjun S, Nate M, Rohan T, Shiv G, Shivani R, and Siddarth M who earned perfect scores! For Amal and Nate, it was the second perfect round in a row!
