31 students earn perfect scores; 24 students score 4 out of 5!
In December, our teams competed in the second meet of the MOEMS Division E contest. As a reminder, this year we fielded five teams, one for each of our Level 2-4 classes. The teams are small, so more students have an opportunity to contribute to the team score.
The 6th grade teams earned 47 and 45 points out of 50 respectively, the 5th grade team scored 46, and the 4th grade teams scored 42 and 31 points respectively. The first three teams are on track to exceed the Highest Team Achievement Award threshold, while both 4th grade teams are tracking for the Meritorious Team Achievement Award for top 4th grade teams.
Individually, students averaged 3.75 out of 5, compared to 2.5 national average!
Here are the averages by grade on our team compared with the national averages (the difference is shown in parenthesis):
- Grade 3: 2.6 vs 1.1 (+1.5)
- Grade 4: 3.5 vs 1.9 (+1.6)
- Grade 5: 4.0 vs 2.7 (+1.3)
- Grade 6: 4.1 vs 3.0 (+1.1)
Congratulations to Akash S, Catherine Y, Dana K, David C, Eeshan L, Henry C, Jackson C, Lauren L, Maaz F, Max Z, Nate M, Rohan J, Sabrina T, and Samrah S who earned perfect 10 out of 10 in the first two meets!
