MOEMS-E Penultimate Meet Results

19 students earn perfect scores; 28 students score 4 out of 5!

In February, our teams competed in the penultimate meet of the MOEMS-E competition. Despite rather hard test, 47 students on our teams scored 4 or better. All three teams are ahead of the best scores in the history of our program for their respective levels:

  • Team A (Levels 4 and 5) has 187 out of 200 points after 4 meets.
  • Team B (Level 3) has 166 out of 200 points after 4 meets.
  • Team C (Level 2) has 151 out of 200 points after 4 meets.

Individually, students averaged 3.10 out of 5, compared to 1.95 national average! Here are the averages by grade on our team compared with the national averages (the difference is shown in parenthesis):

  • Grade 3: 3.35 vs 1.60 (+1.75)
  • Grade 4: 2.60 vs 1.60 (+1.00)
  • Grade 5: 2.95 vs 2.00 (+0.95)
  • Grade 6: 3.65 vs 2.25 (+1.40)

Congratulations to Aarush G, Amaira M (Gr. 4), Austin L, Brandon K, Charlotte O, Grady S, Gus M, Jake I, James B (Gr. 3), John X (Gr. 3), Leo R (Gr. 4), Peter D, Sahana R, Samual A, Simran G, Tai N, Tien N, Tyler H and William W (Gr. 3) who earned perfect scores!

Aarush G, Jake I, and James B (Gr. 3) earned perfect scores in all 4 meets and are one step away from the most prestigious George Lenchner Medal!!!

Jason P, John X (Gr. 3), Leo R (Gr. 4), Peter D, Tien N and William W (Gr. 3) have 19 out of 20 and will make the Honor Roll with a perfect score in the final meet!!!

Twenty three students with the score of 17 or better have a shot at the Gold Pin and 50 students with 13 or better could earn Silver Pin.
