6 students earn perfect scores; 17 students score 4 out of 5!
This year we fielded three teams in the MOEMS Division M contest: Grade 7 Team A and Grade 4-6 Teams B and C. In January, our teams competed in the third meet with fantastic success:
- Team A scored 33 points (114 points overall)
- Team B scored 41 points (129 points overall)
- Team C scored 37 points (114 points overall)
Individually, students averaged 3.66 out of 5, compared to 2.28 national average! Here are the averages by grade on our team compared with the national averages (the difference is shown in parenthesis):
- Grade <= 6: 3.00 vs 2.21 (+0.79)
- Grade 7: 2.65 vs 2.32 (+0.33)
Congratulations to (Bella L), (John X*), Samuel H*, Gus M, (William W), and Jason P who earned perfect scores! (Students in parentheses are in 5th grade or younger, which is amazing!!). The students with * next to their name have so far earned perfect scores on all three of our MOEMS-M meets. They could possibly earn the highest MOEMS award – The George Lenchner’s Medal.
