Six students earn perfect scores; 8 students get 4 out of 5 in the third MOEMS-M meet!
In January, our teams competed in the third meet of the MOEMS Division M contest. As a reminder, this year we fielded two teams, one made of 7th and 8th graders in Level 5 and another made of 5th and 6th graders in Level 4. The teams have 11 and 12 students respectively and so each student has an opportunity to contribute to the team score.
Level 4 team scored 38 points, while Level 5 team earned 41 points! The teams now have a total of 111 and 124 points respectively and both are poised to exceed the Highest Team Achievement Award threshold.
Overall, students on our team averaged 3.7, same as in the last meet, which is 1.6 points above the national average! Here are the averages by grade on our team compared with the national averages (the difference is shown in parenthesis):
- Grade 5: 3.7 vs 2.4 (+1.3)
- Grade 6: 3.6 vs 1.9 (+1.7)
- Grade 7: 3.8 vs 1.7 (+2.1)
- Grade 8: 3.7 vs 2.2 (+1.5)
Congratulations to Renee Q, David C, Nate M, Rama B, Arjun S, and Sophia L who earned perfect scores! It is the third perfect score this year for Nate and second for Rama, Arjun, and Renee!
