Deep Divers: AMC-10 Level

At this point students have progressed to advanced contest math topics – usually those covered in the late chapters of the “Introduction to” series of Art of Problem Solving books and the “Intermediate” series of Art of Problem Solving books. Our sessions are designed to identify and fill the gaps in students’ knowledge and understanding of those math topics. The program is split into two semesters, each covering several topics in Algebra, Geometry, Number Theory, and Combinatorics at AMC-10 and National MathCounts level of difficulty. Specifically, the topics include:

• Advanced Properties of Polynomials
• Sequences and Series
• Complex Numbers
• 3-D Geometry
• Analytic Geometry
• Trigonometry
• Modular Arithmetic
• Advanced Counting Techniques
• Combinatorial Identities

Our teams compete in Purple Comet Middles School contest. Most students also compete in AMC-8 and AMC-10, and join MathCounts teams at their schools.
