10 Mr. Math teams and 51 students individually are National CML Champions
Adventures with Mr. Math students did exceptionally well this year in the CML competition:
- 10 of our teams are National Champions with perfect team scores (which is 43% of only 23 nationwide)
- 25 out of our 31 teams are in Top-10 in their divisions
- 51 of our students are National Champions with perfect individual scores (32% of 159 nationwide)
Below are the detailed results. Note that we split our students alphabetically into teams of 20-25 to avoid “super teams.” Also, CML Grade 4 and Grade 5 have two divisions – Euclidean and Pythagorean. We enter all our teams in the harder, Pythagorean, division:
- Grade 2:
- Five of our teams are National Champions (83% of only six nationwide)
- Our other Grade 2 team is 7th place
- 20 students earned perfect scores and are National Champions (67% of 30 nationwide)
- Grade 3:
- Five of our teams are National Champions (33% of only 15 nationwide)
- Nine students earned perfect scores and are National Champions (29% of 31 nationwide)
- Grade 4:
- Two of our teams are tied for 3rd place
- Seven of our teams are in the Top-10 in their divisions
- Four students earned perfect scores and are National Champions (36% of only 11 nationwide)
- Grade 5:
- Three of our teams tied for 2nd place
- Eight of our teams are in the Top-10 in their divisions
- Three students earned perfect scores and are National Champions (38% of only 8 total)
