Interested in working for Adventures with Mr. Math? We are looking for high-quality educators who have experience working with academically gifted children to help teach our math program. We are also looking for Teaching Assistants to help our teachers ensure class runs smoothly.
Teachers teach our classes, and they are professionals with experience working with academically gifted students. Their main responsibilities are to facilitate our curriculum, overall classroom management, and motivating students. Since all of our classes are virtual, they should be very comfortable in a virtual, Zoom, environment. Teaching Assistants to our Infinity and Beyond Program are responsible for supporting the teacher in his/her efforts. They help monitor chat and ensure students are on-task. TA’s do not need to actually teach the content, but they should be open to learning new math concepts in order to support the students. Most of our TA’s are in high school or college, and they can choose to work for volunteer hours, if they so choose. Teaching Assistants for our Deep Divers program and Mentors for our Rising Stars program work with pairs of talented young students. They actually teach the material and also share their wisdom about their ways of studying, preparing for math contests, taking tests, coping with stress, dealing with failures, enjoying successes, and many other valuable life lessons. They are high school students of high integrity who are responsible, organized, possess strong communication skills, and have a history of success in math competitions. Our Deep Divers Teaching Assistants are AIME qualifiers or equivalent. Most of our Rising Stars Mentors are USA(J)MO qualifiers.
