Adventures with Mr. Math is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization offering after-school math programs for elementary and middle school students. Started in 2013, our program has taken hundreds of students across USA and Canada on an exciting adventure into the wonderful world of math, full of fun discoveries, and capped with numerous contest awards.
We teach kids how to solve difficult math problems not by memorizing numerous formulas and techniques, but by learning how to analyze and explore the problems and becoming true math detectives.
Our classes are small, our tryouts ensure that students in each class are at a similar level, and every class has a teacher and two TA’s, so that every students gets plenty of individual attention.
We believe that kids learn far better when they discover, rather than when they are taught, and so our classes are very interactive. Through dialog and hints we help kids figure out how math works.
We hire the very best teachers who have passion for math and tremendous experience working with gifted students. Most of TA’s are our alumni who make great connections with the students.
Students love our classes “more than video games” and are very good when it comes to math contests. Every year our teams finish among the best Nationally, while our students regularly win top individual awards.
We are a not-for-profit organization that aims to share our love of math with students around the world. All money is used to cover the program costs and we strive to make the program affordable to everyone.
