The MathCON Finals took place on May 23 at McCormick Place in Chicago this year. Students had to score well on the online MathCON competition previously to be invited to participate in this National event. We had a handful of Adventures with Mr. Math students (and Rising Stars mentors) who participated in the Finals, and some were named National Champions!
Each grade level (from 4-12) named one National Champion. Of those nine National Champions, one of them is from our program!
This is a huge achievement!
We also had many students and mentors who won medals and awards:
Andrew Z (4), Evan K (5), Veer K (4), and Zand N (8) won Gold medals for their grade levels (grades in parentheses)
Ivo G (4), Kana K (4), Luka K (4), Nathaniel Z (7), Saarang A (7), Shreyas G (5), and Viyan S (7) won a Silver medal for their grade levels
Caleb G (4), Daochen L (6), Eric Z (8), Owen G (3), Theo P (5), and Victor C (4) earned Bronze medals for their respective grade levels (in parentheses)
Aaron R (3), Alexander P (7), Anthony M (3), Daniel Z (6), Evan S (5), Harry L (5), Isabella A (6), Minh N (4), Pranay G (6), Soeun K (4), Sofia A (4), and Stanford L (4) all earned Honorable Mention for their grades.
