37 students win awards!

We had a number of students participate in the Pi Math (PiMC) competition this year, and they did amazingly well!

There are three division in this competition: Euler (up to 5th grade), Fermat (Grades 6-8), and Gauss (Grades 9-12). It is also offered both online and in-person, and these are considered separate sections. Students who place in the top 5 in each division receive a Gold award, those who place 6-15 receive a Silver award, those who place 16-30 receive a Bronze award, and some more students in each division earn an Honor Roll mention.

In total, 37 of our students received an award, including 9 Gold, 13 Silver, and 15 Bronze award winners. Most of our students are young and participated in the Euler division.

The winners are listed below with the national rank (if known) in parenthesis. If a division is not listed, a student competed in Euler division.

  • Gold award winners: Abhinay M (17), Alexander B (Fermat), An P*, Arien K, Conrad B, Harry L, Maanvi S (1st in Fermat), Shyra C, and William E (6)
  • Silver award winners: An P* (Fermat), Anay D (25), Calvin D, Daniel B (32nd in Fermat), Gregory S (Fermat), Nathan Y** (24), Owen G (21), Polina K (28), Raphael B (27th in Fermat), Rory S**(30), Sofia A (20), Tohan K (31), and Townes Y.
  • Bronze award winners: Aria C, Ayla R-M (40), Isaac S (49), Kana K (37), Kaiya M (48), Krish S (35), Luke K, Nicolas V (Fermat), Riaan S (42), Rory S** (42nd in Fermat), Sherwin E (36), Theo P (34), Velika V (Fermat), Wali U, and Ziqi Z (48th in Fermat).

**Note: Rory S is a 5th grader who participated in both the Euler and Fermat divisions, earning Silver for Euler and Bronze for Fermat!

***Note: Nathan Y is a 4th grader who participated in both the Euler and Fermat divisions, earning Solver for Euler and Honor Roll for Fermat!
