CML 4/5 Meet 1 Results

This year, we split our students into 18 teams of 20-25 students to give more students a chance to contribute to team scores, even though it makes it more difficult for each team to win against other schools that often enter just one large team. All of our teams also compete it the more difficult Pythagorean Division, and they did so well! They’re also divided by the first letter of their first name, so the teams are evenly split.

This contest was exceptionally difficult this year. To give some context, last year, we had 16 CML 4 & 5 teams competing. Of those 16, 13 of them got perfect scores after the first meet. This year, only 12 teams nationwide earned perfect scores after this first meet (five CML 4 teams and seven CML 5 teams). The super impressive part is that two of the CML 4 perfect scores and three of the CML 5 perfect scores were from our program! And another one of our CML 4 teams got only one of two 35/36 scores (one point off of a perfect score).

CML 4:

• A-And scored a perfect 36 points, and are currently tied for first place nationally!
• Anh-B scored a perfect 36 points, and are currently tied for first place nationally!
• C-Dar scored 34 points
• Dav-F scored 32 points
• G-J scored 33 points
• K-Mar scored 34 points
• Max-N scored 35 points (one point away from a perfect score!)
• O-Ro scored 34 points
• Ry-Th scored 34 points
• Ti-Z scored 33 points

CML 5:

• A-And scored 33 points
• Ang-C scored 30 points
• D-E scored a perfect 36 points, and are currently tied for first place nationally!
• F-Je scored a perfect 36 points, and are currently tied for first place nationally!
• Ji-L scored 33 points‍
• M-O scored a perfect 36 points, and are currently tied for first place nationally!
• P-Ta scored 34 points
• To-Z scored 33 points

We'd also like to point out that there were only 108 perfect individual scores on the CML 4, and 96 perfect scores on the CML 5. Of those scores, 44 (or 40.7% of the nationwide total) from the Grade 4 and 33 (or 34.3% of the nationwide total) from the Grade 5 competition came from our program!!! This is quite the achievement!

Individually, on the Grade 4 Team, Aaron W, Adrith N, Advay G, Aiden H, Alexander W, Alima N*, Anay D, Andrew K*, Ari L, Arihaan C, Arin G, Arjun K, Arvin L, Atharva S, Brandon B, Caleb G, Camden Y, Carver C, Daniel Z, Diya P*, Eugene Y*, Iris P, Ishan V*, Juliette L, Kian M*, Krish S, Leela J (on a school team), Luka L, Luke B, Max L*, Maya V*, Minh N*, Nandini J, Nivaan S, Owen M, Raya M-R, Riaan D, Rohan S, Ryker H, Sofia A, Somi K, Thanvikha H, Titus M, Winston W, and Zhi-Yi L earned perfect scores. And on the Grade 5 team, Aanya S, Aditi V, Andy C, Daniel E-B, Elizabeth H, Emma J, Esha P, Ethan B, Ethan P, George T, Henry T, Henry W, Isaac L*, Isaac S, Jamie T, Jeffrey Z, Jiawen C, Joseph L, Katherine Z, Lincoln S, Meghna V, Miles R, Miya M, Nivaan S, Nolan L, Nova P, Owen G*, Rory S, Rosalie H, Saksham S, Sherwin E, Vihan G, Vivaan V, and William C earned perfect scores and led their teams! Students marked with * are in 3rd grade or younger, but competed on the Grade 4 or Grade 5 Team!
