CML 4/5 Meet 2 Results

This year, we split our students into 18 teams of 20-25 students to give more students a chance to contribute to team scores, even though it makes it more difficult for each team to win against other schools that often enter just one large team. All of our teams also compete it the more difficult Pythagorean Division, and they did so well! They’re also divided by the first letter of their first name, so the teams are evenly split.

The CML competition this year has been significantly challenging, but our students and teams are doing amazingly well. Currently, there are only two Grade 4 teams nationwide with a perfect score. Three of our Grade 4 teams are tied for third place. There are only six Grade 5 perfect score teams nationwide, and three of them are our teams!

Here are our team scores:

CML 4:

• A-And scored 33 points, and are currently tied for third place nationally!
• Anh-B scored 33 points, and are currently tied for third place nationally!
• C-Dar scored 31 points‍
• Dav-F scored 32 points‍
• G-J scored a perfect 36 points, and are currently tied for third place nationally!
• K-Mar scored 34 points‍
• Max-N scored 31 points‍
• O-Ro scored 31 points‍
• Ry-Th scored 31 points‍
• Ti-Z scored 31 points

CML 5:

• A-And scored a perfect 36 points!
• Ang-C scored a perfect 36 points!
• D-E scored a perfect 36 points, and are currently tied for first place nationally!
• F-Je scored a perfect 36 points, and are currently tied for first place nationally!
• Ji-L scored 36 points!
• M-O scored a perfect 36 points, and are currently tied for first place nationally!
• P-Ta scored 34 points‍
• To-Z scored a perfect 36 points!

We'd also like to point out that there were only 108 perfect individual scores on the CML 4, and 96 perfect scores on the CML 5. Of those scores, 44 (or 40.7% of the nationwide total) from the Grade 4 and 33 (or 34.3% of the nationwide total) from the Grade 5 competition came from our program!!! This is quite the achievement!

And on the Grade 5 team, (Aanya S), Aarav V, Aaron R*, Aayushi I, Abhinay M, Ananya A, (Andy C), Ashwin C, Athena G, Augustus B, Ayla R-M, Brendon D, Camden P, Charlie R, Christian M, Danica D, Disha H, Dylan O, (Elizabeth H), (Esha P), Etamin K, (Ethan P), Ethan R, (George T), (Henry T), (Isaac L*), Ishaan B, James W, (Jeffrey Z), Jeremiah R, (Jiawen C), Joanna S, (Joseph L), Katherine L, (Katherine Z), Keith B, (Lincoln S), Lucas J, (Meghna V), Michael H, (Miles R), Nicole N, Nikhil V, (Nivaan S), (Nova P), (Owen G*), (Rory S), (Rosalie H), (Sherwin E), Shloak J, Townes Y*, Tristan N, Vedaant G, (Vihan G), (Vivaan V), Wallace S. Students in Parentheses have scored perfect scores on both of the first two meets.
