This year, we split our students into 16 teams of 20-25 students to give more students a chance to contribute to team scores, even though it makes it more difficult for each team to win against other schools that often enter just one large team. All of our teams also compete it the more difficult Pythagorean Division, and they did so well! They’re also divided by the first letter of their first name, so the teams are evenly split.
An amazing eight of our Grade 4 teams earned a perfect 36 points during this meet, and three of those teams are still tied for 1st place nationally, with only one more team, nationwide, tying for first!! Two more of our teams (An-Av and H-Jo) are tied for fifth place, nationally. Here are the group scores for Grade 4:
Yet again, all six of our Grade 5 teams earned perfect scores of 36 points this meet, and five of them are tied with eight other teams for 1st place nationally! One team (N-Se) also earned 36 points (a perfect score), and they’re currently 14th place nationally.
