MOEMS-E Meet 2 Results

In December, our students competed in the second meet of the MOEMS Division E contest with great success. All our teams are on track for top team awards in their age groups! This year we fielded fifteen teams: two Grade 2-3 teams, five Grade 4 teams, six Grade 5 teams, and two Grade 6 teams. Students within each grade group are placed on a team based on the first letter of their first name, so that the teams are roughly the same in strength.

• Grade 2-3 Team A-J earned 42 points.
• Grade 2-3 Team K-Z earned 38 points.
• Grade 4 Team A earned 44 points.
• Grade 4 Team B-E earned 41 points
• Grade 4 Team F-Lo earned 40 points
• Grade 4 Team Lu-R earned 43 points.
• Grade 4 Team S-Z earned 41 points.
• Grade 5 Team A-At earned 45 points.
• Grade 5 Team Au-E earned 46 points.‍
• Grade 5 Team F-K earned 48 points.
• Grade 5 Team J-O earned 41 points.
• Grade 5 Team P-Z earned a perfect score of 50 points!
• Grade 6 Team A-D earned a perfect score of 50 points!
• Grade 6 Team E-M earned a perfect score of 50 points!
• Grade 6 Team N-Z earned 49 points.

Individually, students averaged 3.63 out of 5, compared to 2.12 national average! Here are the averages by grade on our team compared with the national averages (the difference is shown in parenthesis):

• Grade <= 3: 3.02 vs 1.37 (+1.65)
• Grade 4: 3.20 vs 1.68 (+1.52)
• Grade 5: 3.88 vs 2.27 (+1.61)
• Grade 6: 4.21 vs 2.51 (+1.70)
