MOEMS-E Meet 4 Results

In February, our students competed in the fourth meet of the MOEMS Division E contest with great success. All our teams are on track for top team awards in their age groups!

This year we fielded fourteen teams: two Grade 1-3 teams, five Grade 4 teams, four Grade 5 teams, and three Grade 6 teams. Students within each grade group are placed on a team based on the first letter of their first name, so that the teams are roughly the same in strength.

• Grade 1-3 Team A-H earned 34 points.
• Grade 3 Team A-Y earned 35 points.
• Grade 4 Team A-At earned 30 points.
• Grade 4 Team Au-Et earned 35 points
• Grade 4 Team Ev-Ka earned 29 points.
• Grade 4 Team Ke-O earned 30 points.
• Grade 4 Team R-Z earned 28 points.
• Grade 5 Team A-C earned 30 points.
• Grade 5 Team D-I earned 35 points.
• Grade 5 Team J-N earned 38 points.
• Grade 5 Team O-Z earned 34 points.
• Grade 6 Team A-F earned 38 points.
• Grade 6 Team G-N earned 41 points.
• Grade 6 Team O-Z earned 38 points.

Individually, students averaged 2.65 out of 5, compared to 1.35 national average! Here are the averages by grade on our team compared with the national averages (the difference is shown in parenthesis):

• Grade <= 3: 2.25 vs 1.29 (+0.96)
• Grade 4: 2.38 vs 1.03 (+1.35)
• Grade 5: 2.81 vs 1.42 (+1.39)
• Grade 6: 3.17 vs 1.66 (+1.51)

Congratulations to Aadi H, Alex M, Auggie B, Beatrice P*, Daxton A, Elliott C*, Esha P*, Ethan Li, Ethan R*, Grace J*, Jonathan R, Krystian T, Luke H*, Matthew Y*, Nivaan S*, Rokas U, and Rosalie H*, who all earned perfect scores! All students notated with an * are in 4th grade or younger, which is amazing!!
