MOEMS-M Meet 2 Results

In December, our students competed in the second meet of the MOEMS Division M contest with great success. All of our teams are on track for top team awards in their age groups! This year we fielded nine teams. Students are placed on a team based on their grade and the first letter of their first name, so that the teams of the same grade level are roughly the same in strength.

• Grade 2-4 earned 40 points.
• Grade 5 A-H earned 41 points.
• Grade 5 J-Z earned 41 points.
• Grade 6 A-C earned 39 points.
• Grade 6 D-I earned 37 points.
• Grade 6 J-N earned 40 points.
• Grade 6 O-Z earned 44 points.
• Grade 7-8 A-Ma earned 46 points.‍
• Grade 7-8 Mi-Z earned 45 points.

Individually, students averaged 3.19 out of 5, compared to 1.64 national average! Here are the averages by grade on our team compared with the national averages (the difference is shown in parenthesis):

• Grade <=5: 3.15 vs 1.48 (+1.68)
• Grade 6: 3.01 vs 1.48 (+1.53)
• Grade 7: 3.46 vs 1.51 (+1.95)
• Grade 8: 4.10 vs 1.88 (+2.22)
