MOEMS-M Meet 4 Results

In February, our students competed in the fourth meet of the MOEMS Division M contest with great success. All of our teams are on track for top team awards in their age groups!

This year, we fielded seven teams. Students are placed on a team based on their grade and the first letter of their first name, so that the teams of the same grade level are roughly the same in strength.

• Grade 3-5 A-I scored 43 points.
• Grade 3-5 J-Z scored 48 points.
• Grade 6 A-Em scored 43 points.
• Grade 6 Et-Na scored 42 points.
• Grade 6 Ni-Z scored 44 points.
• Grade 7-8 A-Ma scored 42 points.
• Grade 7-8 Mi-Z scored 43 points.

Individually, students averaged 4.29 out of 5, compared to 2.05 national average! Here are the averages by grade on our team compared with the national averages (the difference is shown in parenthesis):

• Grade <= 5: 3.89 vs 2.90 (+0.99)
• Grade 6: 3.68 vs 1.95 (+1.73)
• Grade 7: 3.89 vs 1.94 (+1.95)
• Grade 8: 4.00 vs 2.22 (+1.78)
