David is a high school senior from Chicago, Illinois and has always been fascinated by math. He is a 5-time AIME qualifier and enjoys spending time at local and national math competitions, solving problems and learning new ideas with teammates and other competitors.

David loves teaching and exploring mathematical ideas with others. He has tutored math since before high school, becoming a mentor for the Adventures with Mr. Math Deep Divers and Rising Stars programs in 2023. Currently, as the Skipper for Deep Divers TAs, David trains new mentors and guides students along their mathematical journeys.

Outside of math, David plays jazz drums and latin percussion, enjoys playing basketball, and recently won a chess state championship.
