Steve Maus has been a math and science teacher for the last 14 years both online and in Spokane, WA. Prior to teaching, he served as a US Air Force helicopter pilot for 22 years, including twelve years in special operations (with deployments to Kuwait, Bosnia, Afghanistan and other exciting places).  He has a Bachelor of Science in Astronautical Engineering from the US Air Force Academy and a Masters Degree in Information Systems Management from Webster University. His interests are in math, agriculture, physics and music. Steve and his wife, Amy, have been married for 35 years, are the parents of 18, grandparents of 7 and are the owners of Autumn Creek Ranch near Spokane, WA.   Steve joined Adventures with Mr Math because one of his former students, Hannah Kary, is a TA and highly recommended it.  After seeing the joy and love of mathematics that the students and the teachers showed in every Mr Math session last spring, he was convinced he was in the right place.   Teaching math is fun, but learning and spending time with others that love the subject is even better.
