Rising Stars

Unlike the other programs, Rising Stars has no specific syllabus. Rather, mentors select problems from various past math contests – MathCounts, AMC, Purple Comet, ARML, AIME – that best help them demonstrate the strategies for finding paths to solutions of complex problems. We pair up mentees based on their knowledge and skills and mentors choose problems best suited for their pairs.

Our teams compete in Purple Comet Middles School contest. Most students also compete in AMC-8 and AMC-10, and join MathCounts teams at their schools. Some of our Rising Stars qualify for AIME.
